Our Blue-eyed Boy

So Drew is growing, growing, growing and is still a very loving child, very affectionate, but certainly does have a temper that surfaces from time to time as well. It seems that his temper tantrums are decreasing despite the fact that he has an alligator for a classmate at school. There is a problem child in the class that is having issues with excessive biting for absolutely no reason. Drew has been his target on a few occasions. It's happened on two separate occasions that he got bit by the same child twice in the same day just out of the blue, one incident involved a bite and a pinch at the same time!! How does a child this age even know how to pinch?? Mommy has made it crystal clear to the school that something needs to change, otherwise, poor little Drew will be switching schools. Other parents have complained as well, so hopefully the little alligator will be the one to leave or wear a muzzle, whichever they deem more appropriate ;)

Drew loves to play outside, play with his dog. He loves to sing and dance and try his best to imitate Mommy doing "itsy bitsy spider". He's still around the 25lb mark, which is where he has been for the past 10 months yet he still seems a little pudgy compared to some of the other kids his age. He's hanging onto that pacifier with great determination even though it's "infant size", he doesn't care, it's his little vice that needs to be broken soon. He will be moving into a big boy bed at home soon, hopefully that will be an easy transition, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one!

Drew LOVES to eat, not a whole lot he doesn't like, so far it's limited to some fruits, but he loves veggies, especially green beans (probably b/c Mommy ate tons of green beans while pregnant), he likes yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, string cheese and pretty much anything he sees anybody eating. He begs like a dog. It's kinda cute for the time being, but I'm afraid he's falling into the baaaaad habit of eating b/c something tastes good and not b/c he's hungry, so we're trying to keep it healthy and steer clear of the sugar based items.

He's in love with Blues Clues right now, but also still enjoys his Baby Mozart and Baby Bach as well as Barney sing-a-longs and the DoodleBops. He'll dance a little jig or do his own sweet version of the Uncle Al twist, or bob his head to the beat like a rapper wannabe. He's full of personality and such a joy to be around.

He's teething pretty badly again, so this is an extreme he went to get some relief!!

Bubbles

Mommy & Drew played with bubbles for a while last night. Drew made several attempts to catch the bubbles with his mouth but wasn't quite so pleased when he was actually successful! Not the best tasting stuff around!!

Overall, the bubbles were very exciting to the little guy!

Drew finally got his first haircut :(

Mommy finally caved and said it's time to cut Drew's baby curls off, so Daddy took him to Cookie Cutters (hair place for kids in West Chester) for his first hair cut! He did very well! He sat in his little airplane and watched Blue Clues on the TV. All the curls are gone, it's just a little wavy now.

He went from a baby to a boy within a half hour!! (sniff, sniff!!!)

Drew's new look!!
