Drew's 1st Birthday Party
Here are some shots from Drew's Birthday party. We had a beautiful day for the party and lots and lots of people came. Drew was a little cranky that day, he had two ear infections, but he did pretty well considering all he's been through! He wasn't very aggressive with the cake, he tasted it a couple of times, but wasn't interested in making a mess. He really enjoyed opening presents! His Cousin Jake helped him, it was a difficult job since Drew wanted to stop and play with each gift! Overall, it was a great success and all of us appreciate everyone that came to celebrate the first year of Drew's life! Love you all!

Florida
Drew had his first airplane ride on Saturday, April 28th. He did pretty good, fell asleep right before take off, and woke up about 20 minutes before landing. Mommy was very impressed! We also learned how difficult it is to travel with an infant, luggage, diaper bag, stroller, etc. alone! Geez, that's a lot of work, especially at the security checkpoint! We made it though and had a good time. Weather in Florida was perfect. Drew loves the water, but had a short attention span when outside. He was good for about 20-30 minutes and then wanted to crawl, unfortunately, concrete isn't the best for that so our trips to the pool were brief for the most part. Overall, it was a nice trip, weather was perfect and Drew enjoyed his time with Mommy, Papaw and Mamaw.
I wish I could report that Drew's ears are all better after the tubes were put in, but that would be a lie :( The day after we got to Florida, Drew got Pink Eye for the fourth time and one ear was totally blocked with pus. The next day, the other ear was blocked as well. I called Specialist and they said to continue with the ear drops & to bring him in when we got back in town. Putting ear drops in ears that are totally blocked was pointless, especially for drops that cost $50 for a tiny bottle (almost finished with the 2nd bottle) so, I dug the nasty green and white goop out of both ears and continued with the drops. Went to the Dr. yesterday and he said whatever I did worked b/c the infection from last week was healing nicely. Hopefully this will be the end!
